Few might consider their workplace as feeling like family. But having been with A&B for the past 21 years, Mark feels like he’s grown up with many of the folks who still work within the company today.

Mark has spent 23 years working in the energy industry and nearly all of his career has been with A&B. He’s seen many different facets of the company in that time. After graduating from Lakeland College with an environmental science diploma in 2002, Mark’s first role was in the pipeline integrity division as a technician. He advanced through the company into the role of Senior Construction Manager, Integrity in 2015 and then Vice President, Integrity in 2018, before being appointed President in March 2023.

Now at the helm of the company, Mark is most proud of A&B’s present work culture. He’s working to ensure that the company is approachable, open to creating opportunities and supports employees’ ideas.

While Mark is ultra-productive at work, he also fills his days off. He’s a dad to two young kids and volunteers for their sports activities. He also likes to curl, snowboard and golf, and frequently participates in local fundraising events.
